Founded by visionary creator Rich Shapero—whose work as a writer, musician, lyricist, and producer breaks new ground in experiential storytelling—TooFar Media has assembled a global collective of extraordinary talent. Our collaborators include Grammy Award-winning musicians and producers, boundary-pushing visual artists, and innovative animators who share our mission to push creative frontiers.
As an award-winning multimedia studio, we don’t just tell stories—we architect complete sensory worlds that redefine how narratives can be experienced in the digital age. Each TooFar Media creation is a pioneering venture into uncharted creative territory, inviting audiences to experience storytelling in ways that are immersive, imaginative, and deeply original.
Our latest release, The Hornet’s Spell (2025), exemplifies this approach. Built with a proprietary blend of Generative AI, custom Stable Diffusion models, 4K cinematic animation via Blender, real-time render integration through PlayCanvas, and Dolby Atmos spatial audio, the project represents a leap forward in how narrative, sound, and machine learning can converge. Through custom-trained AI models and multi-platform production tools, we’ve created a visual language as symbolic and textured as the novel itself.
TooFar Media’s Immersive Storyworlds have been showcased at premier cultural festivals across the U.S., U.K., and Australia—including SXSW (Austin & Sydney), Raindance Film Festival, the LA Times Festival of Books, Hay Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Book Festival, Printer’s Row Lit Fest, and the Miami Book Fair—continuing to push what’s possible when art and technology converge.

Rich Shapero’s Immersive Storyworlds dare readers with giant metaphors, magnificent obsessions and potent ideas. His casts of idealistic lovers, laboring miners, and rebellious artists all rate ideas as paramount, more important than life itself. They traverse wild landscapes and visionary realms, imagining gods who in turn imagine them. Like the seekers themselves, readers grapple with revealing truths about human potential. The Hornet’s Spell and his previous titles—Hibiscus Mask, Beneath Caaqi’s Wings, Dreams of Delphine, The Slide That Buried Rightful, Dissolve, Island Fruit Remedy, Balcony of Fog, Rin, Tongue and Dorner, Arms from the Sea, The Hope We Seek, Too Far, and Wild Animus—are available in hardcover and as ebooks.
